Hegel and the Language of Philosophy
After the rise of modern philosophy, there is not any other philosopher whose ideas were interpreted in so different ways as Hegel. The interpreters of his work may differ about everything else, but they all agree about the fact that his thinking is really hard to comprehend and his language and terminology are difficult to understand. On the other hand, Hegel himself insists that his presentation of ideas is in a simple manner. According to him, the language of philosophy must be living and concrete, since philosophy itself is living and concrete. Philosophy occupies itself not with abstractions but with truth, it has nothing to do with words abstract and unintelligible. Language contains all the concepts which philosophy is in need of, and it is the business of the philosophy to recognize this content which is included in all human experience and embodied in language, to be conscious of that content.

Hegel
